How do I get signed up?

Getting signed up with our staffing services is straightforward. Here’s how it typically works:

  • The easiest way to begin is usually through our website. You’ll find a link in the top section of our site to Apply Now.
  • We ask that you fill out all pages and forms in the application process to avoid delays.

At Let’s Work, we offer convenient and secure ways for you to receive your pay. During the onboarding process, we’ll provide you with the necessary forms and information to set up your preferred payment method. You’ll be able to choose the option that best suits your needs. We’re committed to ensuring you receive your pay accurately and on time! You have two primary options:

  • Direct Deposit: This is a popular choice for many as it allows your earnings to be directly deposited into your personal bank account. It’s reliable and eliminates the need to wait for a physical check.
  • Paycard: We also offer the option of a paycard from Kittrel Paycard company. This is a reloadable debit card where your wages are electronically deposited. It functions like a regular debit card, allowing you to make purchases, withdraw cash from ATMs, and manage your funds easily.

At Let’s Work, we understand the importance of timely compensation. For labor completed, you will be paid daily. This means that for the work you complete on any given day, you can expect to receive your payment the following day. We believe this daily pay structure provides our employees with quick access to their earnings.

We strive to connect our candidates with suitable job opportunities as quickly and efficiently as possible. While we can’t guarantee an exact timeframe, we are committed to working diligently to find you a suitable position as quickly as possible. Here’s a breakdown of what influences the timeline:

  • Skills and Experience: If your skills and experience align with current high-demand positions, the process can be quite quick. We are constantly working with local businesses across various industries.
  • Current Job Market Demand: The overall demand for workers in your specific field plays a significant role. If there are many open positions matching your qualifications, you’re likely to find work sooner.
  • Flexibility: If you’re open to different types of roles, shifts, or locations, you’ll likely have more opportunities available to you, which can speed up the placement process.
  • Completeness of Your Application: Providing a thorough and accurate application helps us understand your qualifications quickly.
  • Current Client Needs: The specific and immediate hiring needs of our client companies fluctuate. We might have several openings that match your profile today, or it might take a little longer for the right opportunity to arise.

That’s a great question, and you’re right on track! The forms of identification required to apply with Let’s Work are generally the same as those required for the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.

This is because, as an employer, we need to verify your identity and authorization to work in the United States. To streamline the process, we typically ask for documentation that complies with the I-9 requirements.

You will generally need to provide either:

  • A U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card
  • A Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • An Employment Authorization Document issued by DHS
  • A foreign passport that contains a temporary I-551 stamp or temporary I-551 printed notation on a machine-readable immigrant visa
  • For a nonimmigrant alien authorized to work for a specific employer incident to status, a foreign passport with an Form I-94 bearing the same name as the passport and the endorsement of the alien’s nonimmigrant status

OR

One document from List B AND one document from List C:

List B documents establish identity. Examples include:

  • Driver’s license or state-issued ID card (must contain a photograph)
  • School ID card with a photograph
  • Voter’s registration card
  • U.S. Military card or draft record
  • Military dependent’s ID card
  • U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Card

List C documents establish employment authorization. Examples include:

  • A Social Security card (note: some restrictions may apply)
  • A birth certificate issued by a U.S. state, District of Columbia, or U.S. territory
  • Certification of Birth Abroad issued by the Department of State
  • Native American tribal document

Note: There are other specific List A/B/C documents, and this is not an exhaustive list. For complete list please visit USCIS Website

The answer really depends on the specific job assignment you’ll be working in. Since we partner with a variety of businesses here in the dress code can vary quite a bit.

Generally, we’ll provide you with specific guidelines on what to wear once you’ve been placed in a particular role. This information will come from both us and the client company you’ll be working with.

For many of our positions, especially in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environments around Portland, safety is paramount. In these cases, you’ll likely be required to wear specific safety gear. This could include:

  • Safety-toed boots: These are very common in many industrial settings.
  • Safety vests: Often required for visibility.
  • Hard hats: Essential on construction sites and some manufacturing floors.
  • Safety glasses: Necessary for protecting your eyes in various environments.
  • Gloves: Depending on the tasks you’ll be performing.
  • Hearing protection: In noisy environments.

Yes, Let’s Work provides personal protective equipment (PPE) to all employees in accordance with Oregon OSHA regulations. Proper PPE is essential for workplace safety and must be used when hazards are present.

Employees will receive the necessary PPE to perform their job safely. However, all issued PPE must be returned upon completion of work or when no longer needed. If PPE is not returned, the cost of the items will be deducted from the employee’s paycheck.

By ensuring employees have access to PPE while maintaining accountability for its return, Let’s Work prioritizes safety while managing resources effectively. If you have any questions about PPE requirements or responsibilities, please reach out to your supervisor.
